Leverhulme Scholarship

IMG_7272.JPG

I was mega lucky to be awarded with a Leverhulme Scholarship 2019-2020 by the Bristol Old Vic. This scholarship consists of a bursary plus a year long support from the Bristol Old Vic, and it allows each recepient to use it for their own research in whichever way they feel is useful.

When I first applied for this support, I had planned to spend my time studying independently about communities, migration, queerness and gathering new skills to become a better facilitator of creative activities outside of performances. I want to learn about emancipatory forms of learning, with special attention to marginalised groups or people with different needs.

Following that research, so far in this year I have: connected to Migrants in Culture (please follow their work, we all need to), taken a week holiday very far away from Bristol to do a lot of thinking, done an introduction to clowning course and been buying lots of books.

I am all about the chats. If this research is interesting to you and you'd like to talk about it, contact me! Will keep you updated.
